This is a great dual board! Never forget your bullets. :)
There are lots of different ways to start the game, and to carry it through to completion! You're not exactly in direct competition with the other guy, but more so in competition with them and the neutral player.
Lots of luck involved, and maybe it can't quite be offset by strategy. But lots of fun, and a great board!
This has to be my favorite team simulgear board on the site! It's excellently well balanced, has so many ways to play and to win, and is generally a very fun time.
Love the theme, the graphics are easy on the eyes, the layout and bonuses have all been thought about, the modifiers are easy to understand and to grasp. Which just leaves the strategy... oh what course to choose?!
I love this board, and I love it even more now that it has been updated. It visually stunning, lots of fun, and there are several different ways to win... and lose. It always feels like I have a sporting chance, I'm directly engaged with the other players in a battle of wits, and the dice routinely ruin my day - but never to the point that I'm gonna lose!
This is an average one. I like the concept and I feel the board is visually complete. It suffers from the grid style play amongst the graves and the castle is weighted far too heavy!
Aside from the balance issues, it's still fun, and that says something.
This is a fun board to play, but it seems all the games are about gaining momentum, and when you do you ride it to the end. Clean visuals, great concept and well designed.
This is the board designers first instinct. "I want to make risk, but have lots of continents that are easy to get and have choke points between them" and this map pulls it off excellently well. It's supurb in it's balance, gameplay and flexibility. The board plays very differently with 2 player and heavy fog, than 3 players and light fog to 8 players with no fog! Try them all.
This is a great Hordes game, with lots of interesting ways to get, keep and take away bonuses. I like the visuals, and it's easy to learn and practice on! Bricks are a great idea!
This is a simple board with simple strategies, which can be fun. It's more of a strike at he right time kind of game vs. a stategy game. If there were more approaches to winning, and it was less deterministic, I would have rated it higher.
I really enjoy this board. Its a super well balanced variation on the original game and the Anarchy theme is well thought out and applied. Graphically solid, gameplay solid, and fun to boot!
I like the description "Fair". This can be a frustrating board in the you "build it all up just to lose it all" sense. There are many ways to collect bonuses, but much relies on your luck, and your ability to stop the other players from gathering bonuses. The board is very symmetrical so once someone has gained some leverage, there is no stopping them, and I think she's fairly prone to stalemating.
It is fun to collect bonuses differently from your opponents and to stab them in the back!
This is a perfect example of small map play, with big fun attached. Your best strategy here is prudence (imo), where a well timed move for a continent or a good backstab will put you in a powerful position!
Pretty with a great layout, any edge you can gain here will help!
The strategy is as simple as you'd think, and if you have lots of players, the elimination cascade can be huge, watch out for it!
